Do you offer daily Housekeeping?
We’re dedicated to making your stay as pleasant as possible. Our housekeeping service is available daily and upon request to ensure your room feels just right for you.
What if I left an item at the Hotel?
For lost items, please email lostandfound@balcomo.com or call 250-770-3272 Ext #6. If possible, contact us as soon as you realize your item is missing. The sooner we are contacted, the more likely your item will be found. If found, the hotel will advise on how the item will be returned to you.
Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?
The Balcomo is non-smoking hotel. However; smoking is permitted in designated areas only. Please consult with Guest Services on the location of the designated areas. A Room Recovery Fee will be charged for smoking in guestrooms.
Is there a golf course near by?
Yes, The Penticton Golf and Country Club is located next door to the hotel and is a short 350 metre walk.
Do you offer complimentary wifi?
Yes, we offer complimentary high-speed internet which is available throughout the entire property.
Do you have a fitness centre?
Yes, Balcomo offers a fitness centre which is located on the Second floor of the South Lobby and equipped with a treadmill, exercise bike, elliptical and free weights. Use your room key for entrance. Available from 6:00am – 10:00pm.
Do you offer room service?
LOCAL Public Eatery does not offer room service, however guests may pre-order food from the restaurant and pick it up at their convenience.
Do you have a business centre?
We do not have a business centre, however our lobby lounge offers a guest-use tablet and a comfortable seating area suitable for working on your laptop.
Do you have a pool and a hot tub?
Yes — and then some. The Balcomo has a heated outdoor seasonal pool in our 2-acre courtyard, perfect for summer days in the Okanagan sun. But what really sets us apart is our Wellness Centre, which includes an indoor hot tub available year-round, plus a sauna, cold plunge pool, and salt yoga studio, and relaxation room — the only hotel wellness facility of its kind in Penticton.
So whether you're after a poolside afternoon in July or a sauna-and-soak reset in the middle of winter, we've got you covered. The heated outdoor pool is located in the Courtyard, open seasonally from approximately May 1 – September 30 (Weather Permitting). The Courtyard also features an indoor hot tub and cold plunge which is open year-round. Hours are 9:00am – 10:00pm as part of our wellness centre. Age 16+ after 8:30pm for hydrotherapy.
Do you offer laundry service?
We offer two self-service laundry facilities on ourproperty. We also have a valet laundry/dry cleaning service upon request. Valetservice is not available weekends.
What is included in our stay with the wellness centre?
The Balcomo Wellness Centre is complimentary for hotel guests and includes an outdoor sauna, cold plunge pool, indoor hot tub, salt room yoga studio, and a dedicated relaxation room. The centre is located at the heart of our courtyard and is maintained to resort-level standards daily.
What is the cold plunge pool at the Balcomo?
Our cold plunge is a purpose-built immersion pool kept between 10–15°C. It's designed to complement the sauna experience — the contrast between heat and cold is one of the most effective ways to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and genuinely reset after a long drive, a day on the course, or a week of wine touring.
Is The Balcomo good for families?
Absolutely. The Balcomo was built by a family for families. Our 2-acre courtyard includes a heated seasonal pool, playground, BBQ area, and fire pits — plenty of space for kids to roam and parents to actually relax. With 122 rooms and suites (including spacious kitchen suites), on-site dining at LOCAL Public Eatery, and a location minutes from Okanagan Lake, it's one of the best-value family stays in Penticton.
How far is The Balcomo from Okanagan Lake?
The Balcomo is just minutes from Okanagan Lake and Okanagan Beach — one of the longest freshwater beaches in BC. You're also close to Skaha Lake to the south. It's an easy drive or bike ride to the waterfront from the hotel.

Is The Balcomo good for a wine country trip?

Do you offer Cots or Playpens? Is there a charge?
Balcomo - A Ramada By Wyndham offers cots based on availability for $20/night. Playpens are also based on availability and are free of charge.
What is your deposit/cancellation policy?
A deposit of one night’s room and tax is required at the time of booking for reservations booked from April 15th – October 15th. Deposit requirements are confirmed at the time of booking. If a cancellation occurs outside 24 hours prior to arrival, no penalties apply and the deposit is fully refunded. If a cancellation occurs inside 24 hours prior to arrival, 1st night’s room and tax will apply as a penalty. A cancellation number is provided at the time of notification, confirming the cancellation. Cancellation policy is subject to change and may be extended for special events.
Do you have an early departure fee?
Notification of departure changes must occur 24 hours prior to the new check-out date. An early departure fee of up to one night’s room and tax may apply on all reservations.
What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Debit and Cash may be used for payment upon check out. We do not accept cash, Prepaid Credit Cards, Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit to guarantee rooms at check-in.
Is my ID/passport required at check in? Is a credit card required at check in?
We do require a government issued photo ID at the time of check in for all reservations. All guests are also required to provide a credit card at check in. We do not accept cash, Prepaid Credit Cards, Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit to guarantee rooms at check-in.
Do you have rooms with kitchenettes?
We do have a limited number of Kitchenette Rooms on the property. These rooms include a fireplace, 2 stove top burners, refrigerator, microwave, sink or wetbar, complete dishware for four, and pots and pans
Do you have rooms with kitchens?
We offer a limited number of Kitchen Suites on the property. These suites feature a living room, dining area, and a full kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink or wet bar, dishwasher, complete dishware for four, and pots and pans. Please note that only the Kitchen Suites located in the Tower Building include a fireplace; the courtyard Kitchen Suites do not.
Do you have connecting rooms?
We do have a limited number of connecting rooms on our property. This is on a request basis and cannot be guaranteed.
What age do kids stay for free?
Kids 17 and under stay for free, when accompanied by an adult.
Is there a charge for an extra person?
Rates are based on double occupancy. Additional adults are subject to a $25 charge plus taxes per person per night. Adults are 18 years and older.
How much tax will I be charged on my room?
Currently you will be charged 16% in total:
8% PST (Provincial Sales Tax)
5% GST (Goods & Services Tax)
3% MRDT (Municipal & Regional District Tax)
When is check in/check-out time?
Check in time is anytime after 3 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am.
Do you offer Vegetarian, Vegan or Gluten-Free options?
The Local Public Eatery offers Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options. Please ask your server for Vegan options and we will try and accommodate any dietary requirements.
Do you have a patio?
Yes, it is open seasonally and weather dependent.
Do you allow minors to dine in the restaurant?
Yes, minors are allowed in the Local Public Eatery.
Do you have a Poolside Bar?
We do not have a poolside bar; however, the onsite restaurant provides poolside service during the summer months. Guests may call directly to place an order, and team members also circulate poolside to take orders during this time.

Brunch is available for purchase at LOCAL Public Eatery on Saturdays and Sundays. For brunch hours, please contact the restaurant at 250-493-3388.
Do you offer room service?
Room service is not available, but guests may call the restaurant to place an orderand pick it up at their convenience.
Do pets need to be on a leash on the property?
When outside the guestrooms, pets must be on a leash at all times. See our list of Penticton’s

Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?
Pets are welcome at the Ramada Penticton Hotel & Suites with no restriction on types or size. For a nightly charge of $25 plus applicable taxes per pet, guests with pets will be located in designated pet guestrooms Pet owners are expected to be responsible for any damage or cleaning charges that may occur while at the hotel. To comply with health code regulations, pets are not allowed in the pool area, fitness centre or food and beverage outlets at any time during the stay.
